Level the Playing Field

It must be painless for our community to access the fund. Any child who lives in the City of Shaker Heights and attends Shaker Schools will have access to financial support for all fees and equipment needed to participate in any Shaker Recreation sports program or any Shaker Youth Sports Organization at any recreation or travel level.

Working with the Shaker Heights Department or Recreation, every Shaker Heights youth sports organization, and the Shaker Schools Athletic Department, we aspire to facilitate offerings, logistics and scheduling that best benefit our families and youth athletes. 

Through the Shaker Schools Foundation and the Shaker Schools, we aspire to work with the Shaker Heights Department of Recreation to make sure that every parent in Shaker Heights is aware of all of the many youth sports offerings available to children and families, many at no cost.

We ask the family for $25, and we ask the child and family for a season long commitment. Learning something new can be metally and emotionally challenging, and we ask the children and families to give the new sport a chance for the entire season. From the other side, Level the Playing Field is committed to making sure that athletes can play the sports they love at any and every level in Shaker Heights.
